Check and Check!

Mark two more items off of my 'to do' list! I finally got Lauren's letters finished! After a problem with the wrong ribbon color, I found one that matched the wall color (not what I wanted to do, but had to do). The letters are now the focal point on the wall and not the ribbon. I'm still thinking I need to add more brown to the letters, what do you think?

Also, I finished spay painting the baskets I am going to use as storage - to make up for the lack of storage we have in our house! The inside of the baskets are bare because I am going to make liners to go inside them, once I find a fabric! More on those to come....

  1. Hey Kristi...

So the letters look great! I did the same thing with Brennen's name above his bed. I just love the letters!!

The other thing, I like how you put that shelve thing in front of that door (to make it look like a window).
Everything in her room jsut looks great!!! You have done a spactactular job girl!! Lauren is going to be sooooooooooo spoiled - I can see it now!

  2. Those are just awesome! I can't do that. Emma has letters up in her room but my mom made them! I think they look great but I have no artistic ability whatsoever. So, if you think they need more brown then they probably do! You are just a busy little bee, aren't you? Now, have you done something special for YOU?!

  3. Hey girl,

Her room is AMAZING! You have done so much with that room. What a great nursery!!

I like that the brown in the letters isn't over powering, just nice and subtle and accented by the brown baskets. I wouldn't change them.

When are you going fabric shopping? I need to make some pillows and drapes. I was thinking of going to Hobby Lobby soon. You in?

  5. Okay, so you wanted my "expert" opinion, but I don't think you're going to be happy with it.

NOW, I say this with all the love in the world- after all, that's the only kind of love I have for you- but I really think her name is hard to read. Maybe the pictures don't do it justice? Si?

Otherwise, her room looks absolutely spectacular. Oh, and I will MAKE SURE you don't spoil the bejebus out of this little girl. (Spoiled, bratty kids = yuck.)

P.S. Wanna come down here and paint my future children's rooms? Oh, and Ali wants a green room now. LOL.

  6. So, The more I look at the letters, the more I can tell that it is a little hard to read. Maybe its the angel. Kristi, you may want to look at them alittle more. I am not saying that they are bad. They are cute, but they mite need to me worked on just alittle, what do you think? YOu want them to stand out, but she needs to be able to focus on the letters, and decor on it.

    is that any help?
