The Power of Persuasion!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I have this amazing, wonderful, witty and full of wisdom friend that just needed become a blogger (in my opinion anyway.) So after mentioning it to her, she agreed! I can't wait to follow her on this fun and exciting journey as she documents her daily life! Sorry to have 'roped' you in Boo!

Thank Goodness for Tax Refunds...

After being sans job for over a year, I have been losing my mind financially. However, the tax refund couldn't have come at a better time... Thank you Aaron for getting them filed so promptly this year :) I am now a pace with the game or slightly a step ahead of it, so it feels WONDERFUL!

On a side note... Since I am trying to be ahead of the game, I have started with my spring cleaning early this year! My plan is to try and finish one room, from top to bottom, a day. This is a near impossible task for me with a little one running around crazy because she has been cooped up inside for nearly days on end, but it is coming along, slowly.

Lauren has started to realize that her beloved "Ki Ki" is missing and Aaron said that she was looking for him this morning... We are going to take her to the planned pet hood this weekend JUST TO LOOK at the kittens. We will, someday, possibly (there's that word you love A) get another cat, but for now, it is nice just having the dog. I never thought I would say that because I am such an animal lover, but when you have a child to contend with it makes time for animals less and less.

Here's hoping that that silly groundhog was wrong this year and Spring IS right around the corner!

Thank Goodness for Butt Cream!!!

Oh man! The past couple of day have just been horrendous! Lauren developed a NAAAASTY diaper rash and it just kept getting worse! There is nothing that will make you feel more like a bad mom than a nasty diaper rash! It's almost like I feel like I let her sit and stew before I took action, rest assured, I did NOT, nor will I ever. It was so bad that she wouldn't let me clean it, her, or anything. The normal Desitin, nope, she'd cinch the cheekers together and roll away screaming. The Blamex cream, same thing. The Balmex powder, eh, that was ok. I was at my wits end and I am sure Lauren was also. So yesterday I went in search of some tools. And amazing tools they ended up being!

When you have a child with a "don't touch my booty" rash, this is a MUST! You just spray it on and voila, coverage! This was great for her and I throughout the day...

This is the holy grail of butt creams... I was terrified that I was going to encounter another roll away screaming episode when it touched her skin, but nothing... she was as cool as a cucumber and this morning showed... it worked!

While both of these products are slightly on the more expensive side, they are amazing for the Nastiest of all Nasty Diaper rashes.

On a very, very sad note, we had to put down our beloved "Ki Ki" this week. It was, and still is, a very sensitive subject, but I am at Peace with the decision. Buddy is now feeling better and running around and playing with all the other passed on kitties. He will be missed, drool and all. Here's to you "Ki Ki."

Oh man, she's STILL sleeping!

Again, it has been quite some time since my last post, imagine that! I've decided that I need to become more witty and regular with my postings since I have been, yet again, lacking in that department. I guess this is my New Year's Resolution part deux... better late than never :)

Things around here have been pretty much the same, blame it on the weather :( While, per usual, the weather has been up and down, we did manage to get Lauren outside in the snow for the first time. She. Loved. It. I wasn't sure how she was going to handle walking in the snow, but as soon as I put her down in it, she took off, fell, and took off again! She didn't even mind the occasional face fulls of snow! Since the snowfall has been minimal at best (thank goodness!) I hope we do get some more so she can enjoy it again.

On another note, Lauren's hair is finally growing so I am able to put it in pony and piggy tails! Along with that, I am OBSESSED with making her hair clippies! Now the mission is teaching her how to keep them on her head! I am in the process of taking pictures of the bows to possibly sell, so please keep checking back for a link to the website!
