It's been a long time... again. Aaaaarrrrgh (shakes fists in air)! We've
had a lot going on and I wish I would have kept up. Maybe I'll go back and
do a co...

Here comes the unwanted advice...I didn't see any changing pad covers on there (but I might have overlooked it)...we have two changing pad covers and I am ever so grateful to have two of them. Those initial breastmilk diapers were very...um...unpredictable and newborns tend to pee everywhere when they are first getting their diapers changed! In the early days, we actually would use two of them in a day many times! You also might want to register for more washcloths because as Emma got older I saved money on paper towels (not to mention the environment) using washcloths to wipe her face after each baby food meal. So, that's at least 3 extra a day there you will be using if you do the same thing. I ended up buying two more packs of them when she began eating jar food. I only had one Boppy cover and was okay with that. I washed it about once a week (okay, sometimes once every two or three weeks). I guess I can't speak for all women but our Boppy never got that dirty.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to add...I saw the sheet saver thing. You may not need that! I had taken everyone's advice: buy tons of sheets so when the baby spits up, you won't be doing laundry all of the time. Well, I ended up (thankfully) with a baby who NEVER spit up. Never. So, I ended up never needing the extra sheets! So, you may want to wait to see if she is a spitty baby before buying one of those. Hopefully, she won't be and your sheets will stay clean as can be!
ReplyDeleteThis is not the final, though most of it is, I know there will be things to add and things to take off. I did not add changing pad covers because I bought one. Then, when you mentioned it, I went and added 2 more just in case. As for the washcloths, I am going into BRU later to register for more, because looking at them online while at work can only get you so far. Keep checking back!
ReplyDeleteI will give you tons of unwanted advice!!! Here is today's: Only register for pink things that will be solely used for Lauren. (If you have a boy in the future, Aaron is not going to want him swinging among pink cherry blossoms.)
