It's a Girl!!!

Lauren Brynn will be here around October 22, 2008 and we couldn't be more thrilled! While the idea of a girl had to grow on Aaron, I think he might be more excited than I am now, which is hard to accomplish but we are loving it so far!

Though we only got one good "shot" to know it's a girl, the tech is 100% certain that she is in fact a she! I will also have the new 3D/4D ultrasound pictures taken (hopefully) over the 4th of July weekend.

Here she is!

After we had our doctor's appointment, we were off to Babies R Us to start registering. This is going to take A LOT more time than one would think and many changes will be made until it is finished, I will keep everyone posted. Then on Saturday, Aaron and I spent the afternoon in Monroe, more specifically at the Carter's outlet where we spent some $$$ on the little one. But I have sworn to Aaron that I will not purchase any more clothing, in mass quantities, but I will splurge if it's on sale ;) Thus why this was not posted sooner!

Also, here is what I looked like at 20 weeks.

The BIG Day!

Today is the BIG ultrasound! I thought this day was never going to get here! I can't wait to find out what we are having! I'm still feelin' it girl, but that means it's going to be a boy. Either way, I could care less, but every woman wants her girl and every man wants his boy, so that is where we stand.

I am just so excited to finally know what has been growing inside of me for 21 weeks and 3 days. Only 18 and a half weeks left!

"Pre-Baby Shower Gift"

This is the furniture that Aaron and I purchased yesterday along with my mom. I originally wanted a dark brown and Aaron, being true to old fashioned form, wanted white, we decided on the dark brown. After extensive searching for dark brown, matching baby furniture – crib and changing table – I couldn’t find ones that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Finally, I found the best website for matching baby furniture – http://www.simplybabyfurniture.com/ . I would highly recommend this website to anyone looking to decorate a nursery. Anywho, after looking at what they had, I found a crib, but then found out it was a mini-crib! I decided that 26” wide was not going to cut it even if it did turn into a twin sized bed! So the search continued… I then came across a crib at Wal-Mart of places, and I fell in love with it and Aaron fell in love with it (my words). It is what we both wanted; white and chocolate brown, and is absolutely gorgeous! Here it is: Since we are re-doing the “den/office” as the nursery, we have a white lacquer bookshelf in there now, and I am planning on keeping it in there, so the crib is a great addition as is this changing table:
I plan on incorporating chocolate brown baskets into the three openings as well as the same baskets on the bookshelf to complete the look.

Please everyone let me know what you think!

"Burrito Belly"

That's what bird called it. Now I call it a baby belly :) Sorry the clarity isn't all that great, I will post a new one tomorrow in place of this.

It Happened :)

Well, it all started on Friday evening and hasn't stopped since. I have been growing and growing and growing! I now have to wear this nifty thing called a Bella Band to hold my pants up, because I can't fasten them on their own any longer! This, lucky for me, is the first real "pregnancy" breakthrough I have had and I am excited! I will post pictures about it tomorrow, but until then, it will be left up to your imagination!

T.G.I.F.

Currently: 17 weeks, 3 days, 159 days remaining.

This week hasn't been nearly as long as last week, but it is still dragging and I am glad it is almost over!

I had my monthly doctor's appointment this past week - everything is great! I got to hear the heartbeat again, it was slower this time than it has been, but I chalked it up to being an early appointment (8:00 a.m.) So far, the heart beat has been anywhere from 145-164, and the old wives tale says that points to a girl. Fingers crossed! We also have our BIG ultrasound appointment scheduled for Friday, June 13 and Aaron and I are both taking a half day to enjoy the afternoon with some shopping after we find out who we are having. Of course, I want a girl and Aaron wants a boy, but either way we will be happy! Also, I have been feeling some slight movement down-there, but nothing like a kick or anything. The best way to describe it is it feels like bubble popping my belly. Not a flutter, not a gassy feeling, but bubbles. I can't wait until it is a kick, then this whole pregnancy thing will seem more real to me!

On another note, I will post some Baby Bump Pictures as soon as I get them loaded. Though, I am lucky and tall, I really don't show anything, yet.

Sorry this was such a boring post that lacked the humor - I promise as soon as I wake up, it will be good.

Start Spreadin' the news!

I'M PREGNANT!

Due Date: October 22, 2008
Currently: 16 Weeks, 1 day, 167 days left

I can officially post this without fearing I will shock people that do not know, in them, I mean work! I just got out of my bosses office and he told me he already knew! Same goes with my office manager! Here is the story as how they found out!

On my first day of work, March 17th, my office manager and another assistant took me out to lunch. While at the restaurant someone I knew sat down next to me. As soon as I saw her, I prayed that she didn't know it was me and I feared that she knew. Well, she did know it was me and yes, she knew! As I sit there with my new fellow employees, she says "hi -at this point I am trying to get her to shut-up, discreetly of course - Congratulations, how are you feeling" yaddi yaddi ya, and I still sit there hoping that no one heard what this woman just said, I think I am in the clear, for the next two months anyway!

I finally become comfortable enough to talk to someone about my great news, I say to her "I'M PREGNANT!" and she said I thought so, I heard that woman your first day! I didn't want everyone at work to know until I felt I was ready because I didn't want to be that girl that starts a new job and then tells them right away that she is pregnant! That’s how my story unfolded, I became that girl when I told the office manager and she informed me that she knew the first day I started.

Along with those select few knowing, the girl I sit next to, I find out she is also pregnant with her first, and that, guess what, IS DUE THE EXACT SAME DAY AS MYSELF! I just can’t get over that and I find it great that we can really relate. Imagine the stories she and I share everyday! I think the whole thing is funny, but I still can’t look people in the face around here without laughing.
